What this check does and does not do
Does this tell me whether my building is approved?
No. The check is preliminary. It looks at whether the address falls inside the area Building Energy Experts works in and whether the building is the kind of property these programs are built around. Whether a property may qualify, and for what, is determined by an onsite assessment, a property-specific review, and the utility's current program requirements.
Do I have to give my contact information to see a result?
No. The address and building questions come first and the preliminary result is shown before anything else is asked. Contact information is only needed if you want Building Energy Experts to review the full picture and call to discuss fit.
I rent here. Can I still start this?
Yes. Residents and tenants start these reviews often. A resident cannot authorize work on the building, so the form asks who the landlord or property manager is, and you can ask to have your name kept private when Building Energy Experts reaches out to them.
